Another banned account
Ok so after months of not playing. Possible a year since the last time. Turns out my account was banned.
Now i know probably no-one is going to belive me but, i have never botted, never used a 3rd party program, never bought or sold gold. And after reviewing the rules, i really have never broken any of them. And if i had they were small one unknowingly and should definitely not deserve a permanent ban. I have sent an email using the NCsoft support but havent heard anything yet. Is there anything i can do? I dont want to buy the game again as i dont have much money. EDIT: Also if iwas to buy it again, i would probably get an expansion pack aswell as iv had the original since it first came out. So what would you recommend. Although im not sure i want to as i might get banned again for no reason. Or is it worth buying complete collection? Last edited by turv; Jun 24, 2010 at 01:49 PM // 13:49.. |

Dude being sarcastic about it won't help you.. (I'll probably be banned again for no reason).
Yeah, so anyway, your account probably got hacked and used to goldfarm or something... As we are a fan site and not original we can't help you... You should email support and hope for the best. Also, do not blame them.. Could be that someone really hacked your account and deserved banning. |

Sorry, didnt mean to be sarcastic. Also i dont think that would be it, as i dont think i have spyware and different passwords for everything. Scan pc everyday. But still could happen so i will just find out what they say.
Is it possible to unban it if it did get hacked? Also the account isnt great so gold farming would be difficult with it and nothing on to steal. |

Yes it's possible to get unbanned depending on the circumstances, but the only way for that to happen is through ANet support. FYI you'll be better off contacting support through the NCSoft website rather than email because they've been having lots of problems with their email server lately. |

They have replied back and said its been sent to the guild wars senior staff. But nothing else.
If not i might by the complete collection soon. Please delete, somehow it did a double post without even pressing reply. |

Site is a bit slow so that can happen. I am sure that if you did not do anything illegal you will get your account back. Hope to see you again in the game

best thing to do about hte ban is sit tight in the support bunker, eventually you should get a response from Anet. also: if you were going to buy 1 EP i'd go for factions ^^

Yea, just sit and wait . And what do you mean EP 1, guild wars 1? Im thinking of getting nightfall after looking at the sticky for buying on a budget. Maybe eye of the north as well if its good. Or maybe treat my self n get them all, i dunno. Just in a big guildwars mood right now.

Your best deal would be to buy the Trilogy which will upgrade your Prophecies to Game of the Year and add the other two expansions without bothering your existing characters. On line it is $40, but check retail stores like Gamestop or Target and you might find it on sale.
As for the banning, get your proofs of ownership together, as that is the next thing ANet will ask you to supply. You do not need to give them passwords, but they will want access keys and character names and, if you can remember, approximate creation dates. Just hang in there and they will straighten it out.

Im from uk and have only seen either single coppies so like just nightfall, or complete collection. Nighfall i think was around ??9, and complete collection ??14. If i buy it is it one key? Or is it multiple.
But yea i already sent them a scan of my gamecard, the names i could remember and other things. |

Lucky you, living in Europe. The Complete Collection gives you everything in one box - Prophecies (Game of the Year), Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North. It has one access key that covers everything, but, as I said in previous post, it will not disturb your existing characters except to make /bonus stuff available to them from the Game of the Year.

Cool, i thought it came out before eye of the north and didnt include it. I decided to just buy it, so it will come on saturday. Think im going to start a new character even if i get it back.
So guess i will be seeing you either way. . Been wanting to get the expansions ever since the first one came out, just never bothered. Btw how different are they because i loved how the first one was sure it hasnt changed much. |

They aren't really all that different. They're all stand alone games (except EotN, which is an expansion) so they all share the same core concepts, gameplay, character development, etc. The storyline, setting, and other things like that are different (obviously), but if you loved Prophecies you'll definitely play through each of the others at least once.
